For NUEAME, designing lingerie means dedicating time to research, studying proportions, and experimentation. Each collection takes shape in our creative studio in Bologna, where our creative team, pattern makers, machinists, and technicians work side by side to transform an idea into a garment designed to last over time.

The studio is not simply the place where collections are designed. It is a space for continuous exchange, where every idea is tested, viewed from different perspectives, and refined through research, prototypes, and fittings. It is a process that takes time, because we believe that the balance of a garment never happens by chance, but comes from the care with which every detail is developed.

Bologna is internationally recognized as one of the most important areas for high-quality corsetry and lingerie. For decades, pattern makers, seamstresses, and specialized technicians have developed skills that cannot be conveyed solely through manuals or software, but are built through experience, precision, and thousands of hours spent perfecting a craft.

This heritage represents an important part of Italian manufacturing excellence and continues to thrive today within our Studio.

Fewer and fewer young people are choosing professions such as pattern maker or specialized sewing machine operator. That is why, at our Studio, professionals with decades of experience work alongside a new generation every day, sharing their expertise, methods, and sensitivity. It is a natural transfer of knowledge that takes place through daily work, allowing a rare body of knowledge to continue evolving.

The historic techniques of corsetry are the starting point for our work, but they are never faithfully replicated. We study and understand them, then reinterpret them in light of contemporary materials and needs.

Each new collection emerges from this dialogue between past and present: constructions developed over the years are adapted, lightened, and transformed into a new vision of lingerie—more essential, more comfortable, and more modern, without sacrificing the technical quality that made them so valuable.
